Claims and Contract Manager
In railway construction, contracts, processes, and claims are closely interlinked. As a Claims and Contract Manager, you ensure that services are clearly categorised, transparently documented, and correctly assessed under contract terms. You work in close proximity to the project activities, advising construction and project management and creating clarity wherever processes, construction schedules, or services deviate from the original plan. This position is aimed at people who think in a structured way, grasp complex interrelationships, and enjoy taking responsibility behind the scenes – with a direct impact on project success.

Your responsibilities
- Managing operational claims and contract management in railway construction
- Providing expert advice to construction and project management on claims and defence against third-party demands
- Analysing construction processes and contributing to the assessment of deviations
- Preparing and reviewing claim-relevant documentation (construction time, performance, costs)
- Supporting site teams with documentation and evidence management
- Ensuring complete and traceable contract-relevant documentation
- Contributing to construction operations and contractual assessments in tender or project contexts
What you bring
- Completed degree in civil engineering or comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in site management, estimating, or a construction-related project environment
- Ideally project experience in infrastructure or railway construction
- Basic knowledge of construction operations, construction contract law, and construction scheduling
- Proficient use of common project and office software (RIB iTWO)
- Structured, meticulous working style
- Strong communication skills, negotiation ability, and a sense of responsibility
- Willingness to travel occasionally for project-related purposes
